THIS IS: Mother Mother Live In Brighton

On March 5th, 2024,  Canadian band Mother Mother visited the Brighton Dome on their UK tour. The perfect fit, Mother Mother brought along Crawlers on this tour.  A perfect match for captivating the full audience.

Crawlers got the crowd going right off that bat. The band put a lot of effort into their performance, making sure they gained some new fans throughout their set and it was genuinely one of the best sets I’ve ever seen, the bands’ constant stage movement and interaction with fans made the performance immense, along with their instrumentals and beautiful vocals.

Then the main event everyone was waiting for finally came on stage. Mother Mother. Opening up their set with Nothing Matters with bright lights and visuals, we were transported into the band’s world instantly. The crowd was immediately all-in. Singing and screaming every word like it was their own. The whole crowd was enamored with Mother Mother’s performance. Most notably their track “Hayloft II” which has recently gained traction on TikTok was arguably their heaviest call-out, everyone, including me, was yelling every word. The band went on to play a nice mix of their discography, including tracks from their latest album, ‘Grief Chapter’, and a few of their big hits throughout the years such as Hayloft. Vocalist and Guitarist, Ryan Guildmond kept interacting with the crowd and gave a monologue about his personal growth, the band’s evolution, and his appreciation for fans who have stuck by their side, then came an acoustic Medley from the band as they all reappeared on stage. After this sweet moment, we went back into the fast-paced Mother Mother we all know and love.

The visuals for this whole performance were captivating, I couldn’t look away there was so much visual stimulation. Most notably when the Band performed ‘Explode’, they used a wide variety of blue, red, and white visuals and lights to create a performance full of awe and unease in the best way. Of course, they couldn’t leave without playing “Burning Pile” which is a staple track for the band, racking up over 79 million views (as of March 2024) on YouTube
